Case Studies (Professional)

In the last decade, USGBC's LEED certification system has moved from focusing solely on office buildings to encompassing other types of construction, including LEED for Homes and LEED for Commercial Interiors.

LEED for Homes (LEED-H) promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes, and will soon complete a 2-year pilot test; LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) focuses on the creation of healthy, productive workplaces, where choices can be made by tenants and designers, who do not always have control over whole building operations. Following are a selected few case studies that demonstrate the process of building to LEED-H and LEED-CI certification. For a list of all LEED registered and certified projects to date, visit the LEED Project Lists section of U.S. Green Building Council’s website.
