LEED FAQ

Q: Can products be certified under LEED?
A:

No. LEED applies only to green building projects. LEED criteria are performance-based, though individual products can contribute to points earned under the rating system. Products with desired attributes (eg, energy-efficiency, recycled content, low chemical content, etc.) should be identified and chosen to maximize credits in particular categories. Note that some LEED criteria do require specific product data as part of the documentation and submittal process.
