Q: Where can I get help with the LEED process?

A:
For assistance in developing specifications for your LEED project, contact Green Depot to have a LEED expert from our GD 360 Network work with you to get the job done. For more information on LEED, consult the USGBC LEED Reference Guides for your building type, BuildingGreen’s GreenSpec, and the NEXUS Green Building Resource Center in Boston, which is staffed by green building experts and LEED Accredited Professionals and and is a one-stop resource center for sustainable design and green building innovation. Find more resources here.

Q: Do we need a LEED consultant on our team?

A:
The USGBC recommends that you have a LEED Accredited Professional on your project team to function as the point person for the LEED Certification Team, to coordinate the certification application and documentation process, and to manage any subsequent appeals to the rating issued or to a rejected application.

Q: Who can use LEED?

A:
Anyone involved in building design, construction, sales, financing, and management can use LEED, including architects, real estate professionals, facility managers, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, construction managers, contractors, lenders, and government officials.
