With reflective material on either side of a dense insulation blanket, Nest works by reflecting heat waves. In the summer, when the sun is beating radiant heat waves down on your roof, Nest will reflect 97% of the heat waves so that they don’t reach your attic space and cause overheating. Similarly, in the winter, Nest will reflect heat that might radiate out of your home through the walls and attic back into your home preventing heat loss.

This unique technology uses continuous filaments of E glass fiber. Eight inches of insulation gets needle punched and turned into a 1/2 inch thick pad without using any glue or binder. The insulation blanket then gets a layer of pure aluminum foil on both sides. Nest provides an insulation value of R 12.5 with just a quarter inch of material, so you don’t have to sacrifice interior square footage for insulation.
