Microfiber Cleaning

The E-cloth® Mop Set contains a damp mop head, a mop head base, and a sturdy telescoping aluminum handle. The base is on a 360° swivel, so it gets into corners and hard-to-reach places other mops can't. It doesn't just push dirt around like a sponge mop or a string mop; its modern fiber technology penetrates and removes dirt, grease, oil, grime and bacteria using just water; no harsh cleaning chemicals are needed. Eliminating chemical residue is important to everyone, and especially to families with young children who spend a lot of time motoring at floor level. The damp mop head can be machine-washed over and over while still maintaining its cleaning performance (up to 100 machine-washings!) The E-cloth Mop will still be cleaning long after cheap plastic mops are in landfills.

Comfortable and fast. The ergonomic, telescoping handle design means that anyone in the family can comfortably mop the floor (no more excuses, kids and dads!) The 18"-wide base cuts a wide swath across the floor, making the job go much faster than with other mops, too. All told, floor cleaning with E-Cloth is better, faster and easier than any other method.

Why is E-cloth superior to other cleaning cloths? E-cloths are made from the highest quality polyester/polyamide microfiber on the market. Polyester is lipophilic (attracts oil & grease), while polyamide is hydrophilic (attracts water). After extrusion, the fibers are split into scores of microscopic strands (see photo at right), giving you many more "cleaning edges" than typical microfibers, to physically scrape away dirt, grease, grime, and bacteria. The superior E-cloth manufacturing process costs more, but the cleaning effectiveness and durability are well worth it!

Healther than the alternatives. In a laboratory test, the Biomedical Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University (UK) found that E-cloths used with water alone was highly efficient at removing bacteria (including E-coli.) from domestic surfaces. Unlike sponges and standard cotton cloths, E-cloths also do not support the growth of bacteria.

Washing Instructions: A warm rinse is often enough for day-to-day use. However, for E-cloths to perform correctly, they must be washed regularly. They may be machine washed on hot (200°F). Use only a small amount of detergent and rinse well. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as bleach breaks down the fibers and fabric softener will block them. Tumble or hang dry. Color may run, initial washes must be separate. For washing machines, a washing bag is recommended. If fabric softener is used by mistake, rewash with a little detergent.

Recommended uses: Excellent on all flooring surfaces, including vinyl, laminate, stone, ceramic, tile, hardwood, linoleum, and concrete. The sturdy telescopic handle adjusts to fit your comfort level (handle extends 3'5" to 6'2"), and can be extended to clean walls, ceilings and high windows. The mop is also lightweight and very maneuverable. Having far more cleaning fibers per square inch than common mops and a "wingspan" of almost 18 inches, E-cloth mops remove more grime with each swipe. All told, your floor cleaning is better, faster and easier.

To use: Wet Damp Mop Head under the faucet and wring out excess water (most effective method is to start at the long end and roll it up jellyroll-style, then wring out). Place the damp mop head velcro side up on the floor and attach the mop base to the center of the mop head. During use the damp head may be rinsed and refitted onto the mop head base. Mopping in an "S" shape is recommended for best dirt pick-up.

Mop Set Contents: 1 Damp Mop Head (5.25" x 17.5"), telescoping aluminum handle, and 18-inch wide aluminum mop base with Velcro strips. Swivels to reach around corners, and thin enough to clean under the narrowest gaps below the fridge and the oven.

Made from the highest quality cleaning microfiber fabric available in the world: 0.13 denier, in contrast to the 1 denier in cheaper microfiber cloths. The smaller the fiber, the denser the knit/weave, the greater the cleaning power of the fabric. 80% polyester/20% polyamide. Machine washable on hot (200°F). Made in Korea.

*A denier is a unit for measuring the fineness of fabric. A strand of cotton has a rating of 200 denier. A human hair has a denier of 20, and a strand of silk has a denier of 8. The average commodity microfiber strand has a denier of 1.0, while E-cloth microfiber strands have a denier of 0.13: less than 1/100th the width of a human hair. Each strand is further split into 16 fiber strands, producing a super-fine, sharp surface that's unsurpassed for picking up dirt and grease.
