Why Green Products, Why Now?

Eco-friendly products are at the heart of Green Depot’s mission. We started off selling only green building materials, but soon expanded into providing goods to address every element of a green lifestyle. After all, it’s no fun to live in an empty house--you need eco-friendly stuff to put in it! So from baby goods to stationery, pet stuff to holiday gifts, gardening to food storage, we’ve got eco-friendly goods that not only had to pass through our rigorous green filter, but are well-made and good-looking, too.

Our baby products selection offers nearly everything you’ll need for the little one: bedding, carpeting, clothing, air filters, artwork, books and even a special selection of paint colors inspired by the wonder and delight of childhood. We even have an heirloom-quality crib made from FSC-certified hardwoods, in a design classic and durable enough to last through several generations to come.

Food storage is another area where our eco-friendly products shine. All the waste that comes from using plastic and paper bags just a single time for lunches can be avoided with our wide selection of reusable sandwich and snack bags. And recent studies have revealed that toxins often leach out of plastic food storage containers into the food itself, so it’s best to play it safe with glass and BPA-free plastic containers—and we have plenty to choose from.

Then there’s gardening—seed and bulb kits, planters, plant food, non-toxic pesticides and even post-digging skin-soothing balms await you in our garden section, along with numerous composting supplies (even a worm factory!). And our pet section offers lots of hypoallergenic doggy care products, toys made from recycled and rapidly renewable materials, and reusable supplies to pamper your pooch in eco-friendly style.
